LNG Hub Weekly Roundup 23/3

Welcome to the second of our weekly round ups. I hope that in this time of uncertainty, and the news being very ‘doom and gloom’, that these posts can provide some positivity and insights. With the UK being a week into lockdown, we’re all in need of some reading material to pass the time!

Tullet Prebon’s March LNG Outlook provides a great perspective on how this pandemic is affecting the industry and lays out what could be instore going forward.

In a week where it’s been tough to find the more positive news stories, it was great to see that CWC LNG Asia Summit host sponsor Petronas are contributing medical supplies to help fight the spread of Covid19.

The multi-sector industry coalition SEA-LNG released a new study this week which looks at the potential to contribute to future decarbonisation for the shipping industry.

Petroleum Economist reported this week that Canadian LNG faces a finance fight with the exodus of international partners and the global gas glut raising doubts about the economic viability of an already challenged sector

Some good news for China came this week with CNOOC posting record production with natural gas rise and a jump in annual profits.

Finally, for some light hearted reading to mull over this weekend, take a look at our top tips for maintaining productivity when working from home. Let us know if you have any more tips – we could all do with them!
